Wedding Photographer at Warwick Castle

On the 17th October 2019, I was a wedding photographer at Warwick Castle, my second wedding there within a few weeks, but unlike the first time where it, unfortunately, rained this time it was gloriously sunny.

My day started capturing a few photos of the groom at the Knights Village before heading up to the Castle to photograph the bride getting ready in the Castle tower which was spectacular although whilst I was in the room several tourists burst in thinking the room and the bride were one the attractions. It wasn't a big deal but

Due to the time constraints and the shorter days in October, we scheduled to do the bridal couple portraits before the wedding ceremony so that there was enough daylight for the main family photos after the ceremony. The ceremony was held in the great hall which is a fantastic room to married in although this service was a blessing because to make like easier for documentation purposes the couple had already married earlier in the week in the Netherlands.

The service was hosted by their close friends, after the ceremony, we walked to the conservatory for a drinks reception and canapes and of course more photos, the bride had arranged for a lot of group photos and as the light faded we managed to capture them before it got completely dark.

The wedding party moved back to the great hall in the Castle where the room had been transformed into a banqueting room with two grand thrones for the bride and groom at one end. Then the knights fought for the bride's honour and then dinner was served lovely roast duck, after the meal when the sun had set we went outside for some more photos taking advantage of the castle surroundings and then back inside for the first dance and finally some sparklers instead of confetti. Like all weddings, I photograph it was a lovely day and I really enjoyed meeting everyone there I would mention names but sadly GDPR prevents names being mentioned.
